Sailing Team Building

A one-day experience combining sailing and reflection to boost team performance. Participants learn sailing basics, collaborate during hands-on tasks, and compete in a regatta that mirrors workplace dynamics. The day ends with a psychologist-led debriefing to reflect on behaviours, communication, and leadership. The experience builds trust, cohesion, and prepares teams to face challenges together.

Description

Our Team-Building experience on a sailing boat is a unique opportunity to stimulate collaboration and improve group dynamics within your organisation. Immersed in a natural and fascinating setting such as Lake Maggiore, participants can engage in practical and stimulating discussions and face challenges that reflect the dynamics of daily work.

Goals

  • Strengthen collaboration and teamwork through shared challenges in a dynamic and engaging environment.
  • Improve communication and problem-solving skills by navigating real-time tasks that require clarity, coordination, and adaptability.
  • Foster trust and mutual support among team members by creating interdependence during practical sailing activities.
  • Develop leadership and decision-making abilities in contexts of uncertainty and time pressure.
  • Encourage reflection and self-awareness on individual and group behaviours through a guided psychological debriefing.
  • Promote team cohesion and a shared sense of purpose, preparing the group to face business challenges with unity and confidence.

The structure of the Team Building

The proposed activity takes place in one day.

COLLABORATIVE WORKSHOP

In the morning, participants receive basic theoretical and practical sailing training. Thus, they learn the techniques for manoeuvring the boat with the constant support of a professional skipper, build collaborative skills, and appreciate the suggestive lake landscape.

Around lunchtime, a stop on dry land is planned to enjoy lunch with a lake view.

COMPETITIVE WORKSHOP

In the afternoon, participants put into practice what they learned in the morning during a regatta, where competitiveness merges with teamwork.

DEBRIEFING

Once back at the port, the experience ends with the activity that makes our Team-Building unique: a debriefing session conducted by expert psychologists. In this meeting, the entire team is guided through a process of reflection that helps to gain awareness of individual and group behaviours adopted, identifying resources, strengths, and aspects that can be worked on.

The role of psychologists is to facilitate discussion on moments of collaboration and competition, difficulties encountered and strategies adopted to overcome them. During this time, team-building, communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and leadership strategies emerge as they do in a working environment. Participants can develop a new sense of cohesion and mutual trust on this occasion.

This is an unmissable opportunity to build a strong, close-knit team ready to face business challenges successfully.
